In Andhra Pradesh, the Lord Subramanyeswra Swamy temple at Bikkavolu is one of the most prominent temples. It is located at Bikkavolu enroute from Rajahmundry to Kakinada canal. This is one of the oldest temples in India.
Natives having Kalasarpa Dosha, Sarpa Dosha in their natal chart visit the temple to ward off the negative effects. People come here from far off places to offer prayers to Lord Kartikeya. The temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for performing the necessary pujas. Rs.30/- will be charged for performing Abhishekam and Rs.70 for the necessary items required for the puja items at the temple. After performing puja, the devotee should have darshan of the Lord. Especially, on Tuesdays, people from various parts of the country visit this temple.
There are two Shiva temples and Lord Vigneswara templet in the premises of the Subramanyeswara Temple at Bikkavolu. It is widely believed that the devotees who whisper their desires in the ears of Lord Ganesh at this temple will be fulfilled. |
